What I did well the last time compared to the first time
The first time I delivered my “wish” speech, I was very nervous. I failed to make eye contact due to not knowing the content of my speech very well. I was unable to maintain a steady pace because I was so nervous my voice would go from high to low and change pitch often. When it came time to present in the black box and not in the class room, for some reason it became more intimidating than just reading to the class. This caused me to stutter more then I did reading it in class and losing my place more. An observation my class made that I did not notice was was because I was reading so fast I was not articulating my words.
After spending time reading and making easier transitions throughout my paper so when I do present it would flow better, I did improve from the first few times I presented my speech to the final time. I made better eye contact, marinated a steady pace, and made sure all my words were clear. There is still a lot to work on but the minor improvements will do for now.
